CHOMSKY'S WORLD

In a more self-confident America, Noam Chomsky would be a shunned traitor rather than a welcome speaker at our elite universities. Horsefeathers doesn't recall Tokyo Rose being invited during World War II to speak to undergraduates about Western oppression of the Asian 'other'.

Here is a report from the University of Washington about the loathsome anti-semite, Noam Chomsky's appearance on campus as an honored guest speaker. "...Chomsky's two pet hatreds -- the United States and Israel --have become linked in Europe -- where his popularity is greatest -- and in those scattered American outposts of European sentiment and ideology: our universities...".

Noam Chomsky is an old nemesis. He is 'great' and of 'high degree' and I am but a humble rural school master.

But I take some consolation to know that though nobody knows me, I have never dishonored my country,my name and my dualchais airidh (what Gaels call our 'splendid ancient heritage or Paideia; John F. Kennedy made reference to this in his inaugural address in the only indirect reference, I believe, in a presidential address to Gaelic heritage).

Truly honor 'tis more commendable than gold or rank or degree.

There is a sword, cold in its sheath with this inscription:

NA TARRAING MI GUN ADHBHAR
'S NA PILL MI GUN CHLIU

Which translated to the Saxon tongue means
DRAW ME NOT WITHOUT JUST CAUSE
AND RETURN ME NOT WITHOUT HONOR.

Above this ancient claymore is a Japanese Naval Lieutenant's sword captured by the US Marines at Guadalcanal. It was presently postumously to the family and loved ones of the U.S. Marine who made the supreme sacrifice at Henderson Field which itself was named after a Marine pilot killed at Midway June 1942. For such men of honor the whole world is their monument. For dispicable sophists like old Noam Chomsky let history be the final judge of his deeds and worth.

Chomsky will be remembered as a footnote,if that, perhaps in a book outlining the decline and fall of America. But more likely he will have come like water and go like the pretentious windbag he is. If as Jefferson said, God is just, then men like Chomsky who have mocked the men and women who guard him will he sleeps, should tremble. Clearly he is a man without honor.

In addition, Chomsky is to scholarship what Adolph Hitler was to art. Both men thought they were great but the only think great about them was their egos and overweening pride. Both had their following but both saw their lives turn to excrement because they were men without honor and traitors to all that is fine and decent.

In 100 years, nay in 1000, men and women will still come to the IWO JIMA MEMORIAL,the LINCOLN MEMORIAL THE WASHINGTON MEMORIAL and the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL. They will still hasten to Jerusalem and Rome.

The Ward Churchlls and Noam Chomskys will not be remembered but if they are it will be in the same breath as Benedict....not the XVIth but BENEDICT ARNOLD.
