DON'T MISS THIS!

Michael Yon's battlefield reporting from Iraq introduced us to a warrior hero, LTC Erik Kurilla. We saw him wounded while leading his men in battle and now we have a follow up report from his hospital convalescence. Men like Kurilla provide hope for our country, that we have not become entirely a nation of infants, as well as knowledge that some in our military understand the need to deal harshly with our enemies. He has some choice comments on the Fifth Column homefront media.
See the article here.

Great article ! As usual Horsefeathers brings me material I would not read elsewhere.

Kurilla is not the only one to be embittered by the negative 5th column like appeasing news with a pessimistic anti-war slant.

You should see the news in Britain! Some papers show acts of bravery or medals given out but mostly the elite media ignores the heroism of British troops. Until of course the heroism is so remarkable that they have to mention it. They mention it months after the event almost for the historic record.

The sad part about this is that slowly this anti-war anti-military attitude alienates the military from the civilian population.

I recall Caesar's 10th legion who shudders at being called QUIRITES ('citizens') rather than soldiers.

Such alienation in the later Republic contributed to the age of the dictator.
