THANK YOU JOHN KERRY. AND GROUCHO THANKS YOU TOO
What will we do for entertainment when the Democratic party vanishes? While pundits contemplate the strategic meaning of John Kerry's call from Switzerland, for a filibuster of Judge Alito, we at Horsefeathers are hopeful. Just because Groucho is dead doesn't mean its all over for Marxism of the Groucho sort. Picture the Dems and John Kerry as the backup chorus for the following Horsefeathers and Groucho classic:
By Harry Ruby (music) and Bert Kalmar (lyrics)
Performed by Groucho Marx in "Horse Feathers" (1932)
I don't know what they have to say,
It makes no difference anyway --
Whatever it is, I'm against it!
No matter what it is or who commenced it,
I'm against it.
Your proposition may be good
But let's have one thing understood --
Whatever it is, I'm against it!
And even when you've changed it or condensed it,
I'm against it.
I'm opposed to it --
On general principles I'm opposed to it!
Chorus: He's opposed to it!
In fact, in word, in deed,
He's opposed to it!
For months before my son was born,
I used to yell from night till morn,
Whatever it is, I'm against it!
And I've kept yelling since I commenced it,
I'm against it!

Charming ditty...John Kerry and Ted Kennedy what blowhards and what mediocrities. Not quite the malefactors of inheritated wealth and not quite bottles with brains but certainly moral and intellectual powderpuffs who speak with no character and no real authority whatsoever. Full of sound and fury and signifying nothing. By comparison Robert Taft was a Lincoln and Henry Jackson was a Churchill or a Washington or at least a John Adams (a near great American).
Ted Kennedy , scion of a great clan, descendant of petty Brian Boru, is not quite Caligula -he seems quieter and nicer- but almost certainly is as close to an empty suit as possible and thereby in the class of Honororius. Kerry, I think, makes Garfield and Chester Arthur seem like intellectual and moral giants. He is about on the moral and leadership level of Isabella II of Spain. Lots of jumping about and banging about but little result.

I am curious why the Swedes wanted Kerry to speak at an economic summit for? Has this expert ever held a private sector job in his life? Will his Ole Lady even let him have the check book? Please Switzerland keep him, we will keep Greenspan. And then make Kennedy your drivers’ education czar.
Term Limits, could really act like the ointment to prevent Kennedy’s and Kerry’s chronic diaper rash. These dudes are an irritant.
