JOE LIEBERMAN, ANTI-SEMITISM AND THE NEW YORK (JIHADI) TIMES
Adam Nagourney of the New York (Jihadi) Times, offers his "analysis" of the Lieberman loss to Corliss (oops!) Thomas Lamont in the Connecticut primary. It's the usual tired tut-tutting about why the pacifist appeasers are gaining strength in the Democratic party, though they're never identified as such; rather they're new blood, "winds of change", breathing life into the party. However, in all the "on the one hand, on the other hand" analysis no mention is made of the elephant in the room---Jew hatred.
This was the fuel for the anti-Lieberman campaign, never once mentioned by Nagourney. Lieberman, a practising Jew, became the target of vicious anti-semitism emanating from the liberals whom he had served so faithfully over the years. Why? Because he preferred fighting our enemies rather than attacking President Bush. And Bush, in the fevered fantasies of the left, is a captive of the neocon (Jewish) cabal, in league with "likudniks" in Israel, bent on world domination. Did it ever occur to Nagourney to wonder about why Mr. Lamont "...gave his victory speech with the Rev. Al Sharpton and the Rev. Jesse Jackson at his side..."? This tag team of vicious Jew haters shared the celebration for a reason, but Adam Nagourney delicately omits it from his assessment. Will Lieberman's fellow Jews in the Democratic party omit it from theirs?

1. I find that paper (The NY Times) to be odious in the extreme and have vowed never to purchase it again.
2. The Democrats are truly going to eat their own. I predict though that Lieberman will win in November. Also Conncecticut which is the wealthiest state (or one of the wealthiest states in the Union) is more and more Democratic. I thought that the Republicans were the party of the rich.
3. I am glad you pointed out Lieberman's Jewishness. I doubt that many liberal Jews with their blind loyalty to the Democratic Party will lament the loss of an observant Jew from the Senate.

1. It ain't over until its over. The fact that Lieberman can run as an independent and can't be kept off the ballot (as might happen in New York State) has to be worrisome for Democrats. I think many if not most Independents will vote for Lieberman and some if not many Republicans will vote for him. If that is the case the Democrats will have achieved nothing except the embarassment that they have purged one of their most upright and honorable Senators.
2) I agree that the NYT is repulsive and odious. And I speak as one who read the paper religiously for many years. My father read the NYT religiously for over 60 years. We always had it in our family and read it. Now, NO BODY READS IT or LIKES IT. I personally REFUSE to buy it. If I am travelling I find something else to read. The POST, USA TODAY the WSJ, the ECONOMIST. THE NYT and the BOSTON GLOBE I just refuse to read. They are just so boring, so predicable as well as being unreliable. The New York Times: the paper of Jason Blair and Maureen Dowd. The paper that spells Marine in small case like Gramna in Cuba, thus dishonoring America's Corps of the Brave and True who are and have always been "first to fight for right and freedom". The NY Times must be Bin Laden's Favorite American newspaper. That fact alone should be damning. I have intentionally boycotted anything that has to do with the NYT Corporation. And I am not the only one.
3. I think it is important to know that Lieberman is openly a very serious and observant Jew. We all should be skeptical of politiicans pushing their religion but Joe Lieberman seems to have been sincere. It is his sincerity and integrity that I have admired the most. He is virtually the last of his breed, a moderate pro-family, pro-traditional values, pro-national security Democrat.
There is no place for a man with traditional values in the Democratic party. A patriot and a person of faith cannot be comforatable in a party which will not tolerate dissent and is in thrall to special interest groups that are out of the mainstream of American life.
As I have written before, here is more evidence that the Old Democratic Party is dead.
This New Secular Left Sangerite Peacenik Democratic party is a bundle of special interest factions who exclude more than they include.
Their definiation of inclusiveness is UNIFORMITY OF BELIEF and FEMINIST and MINORITY QUOTAS.
Both these tendendies drive out military, military veterans, traditional mothers and fathers, people not enslaved to the Bold State and Public employee unions.
The Democratic party is the party of the Secular Left, the party of the Sangerite Feminist Left, the party of the Bold State. It is the party of George Soros, a repellant and dangerous individiual if there ever was one. With the expulsion of Lieberman from their ranks, the Democrats just show the American people how out of touch and unrepresentative they are.
It is a misnomer that the Democrats still call themselves the party of the people.
Democratic party that once knew FDR, TRUMAN, JFK. Ronald Reagan and Joe Lieberman, RIP.
